Calabar Boat Mishap: Cross River State Govt Is Yet To Reach Out To Us – Medical Students Laments

The Nigeria Medical Students Association (NIMSA) has accused the Cross River State Government of neglecting college students involved in boat mishap in the state.

The college students lamented that the Cross River State Government’s refusal to reach out to them following the involvement of three of their members in a boat mishap.

The NIMSA National President, Dr. Ejim Clement Egba while speaking on a radio programme, expressed bitterness that the state government had not reached out to them and families of the victims.

“It’s not humorous that up until now, three days after the unlucky incident, the state government or government official has reached out to us, even discussed with the survivors.

“For God’s sake, we are in Cross River State, and the tragic incident occurred right here in the state.

Ejim commended the Senator representing Cross River South Senatorial District, Asuquo Ekpenyong jr, for visiting the eleven survivors in the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital before they were discharged.
