Tension In Bayelsa State APC Over Rumored Tinubu’s Bayelsa Ministerial Nominee, David Lyon
There is so much tension and unrest in the Bayelsa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over rumored ministerial nominee, David Lyon as the state ministerial nominee of President Bola Tinubu.
Recall that a rumored ministerial list was reportedly leaked online yesterday, having ministerial nominees from various states across the country with designations.
The rumored nomination of the APC chieftain and former governor-elect, David Lyon as the ministerial nominee of Bayelsa State by President Tinubu, has created so many reactions from party members in the state.
The rumored nomination of the former governor-elect and chieftain of the party came as a shock to many leaders and stakeholders in the party, as a result of so many rumored ministerial nominees for the past few months.
Sources reveals that two chieftains of the party, Peremobowei Ebebi and Ongoebi Etebu are the preferred ministerial nominees of the leader of the party and governorship candidate of the November11th gubernatorial election, Timipre Sylva.
The rumored nomination has created unrest among leaders and stakeholders of the party in the state, wanting to know the authenticity of the nomination, which some party stakeholders described as a great welcome development.
There are speculations that President Bola Tinubu will be submitting the ministerial nominees to the national assembly for screening and confirmation within the week, as he returns to Nigeria from the ECOWAS Summit in Guinea Bissau.
The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin disclosed to newsmen in his office in Abuja yesterday, said that the national assembly is ready to receive the ministerial nominees from the president for screening and confirmation.
The rumored nomination of David Lyon as Bayelsa state’s ministerial nominee under the President Tinubu’s administration, has caused celebration in some quarters and sadness in some quarters in the state.
