Group Calls On IGP, DSS, Others To Arrest Jude Gbaboyor

The Niger Delta Amnesty Champions has called on the Inspector-General of Police and other law enforcement agencies to immediately arrest and prosecute Mr Jude Gbaboyor over defamatory and offensive statements aimed at casting aspersions in the social and electronic media against the person of Dr Dennis Otuaro.

The group publicity secretary, Mr Darlington Oyinkuro while addressing newsmen in Calabar, the Cross-River State capital, described Jude as a known fake news peddler and a real devil’s advocate working with an ill-conceived syndicates with in and outside the Niger Delta region aimed at plugging the region into another round of hostility.

Mr Jude who is from Isaba kingdom in warri south local government area of Delta State, has being going round media houses making malicious claims aimed denigrating the person of the current amnesty boss for no known justifiable reason.

The publication which is aimed at misleading the good people of the region on the the giant strides of the amnesty boss, could cause disaffection among the major stakeholders who voluntarily pass a vote of confidence on the achievements of Dr Dennis within this short period in office.

According to the scribe of the group who said to have quoted the provisions of the cybercrime act, that cyberstalking causes a reasonable person to fear, which has a penalty offense of up to ten (10) years imprisonment or an option of twenty five (25) million naira fine.

Oyinkuro noted that Mr Jude Gbaboyor is indulging in these activities due to lack of any meaningful economic engagements which has resulted him into a very devastating condition of numerous kinds ranging from physical depreciation and other behavioral contradictions which is actually leading him into obvious frustration and suicidal tendencies.

The group hailed the amnesty boss not to be deterred by these never do well characters, but continue in carrying out its stated objectives of charting a good course for the region towards touching the lives of the people positively.

He also urged the federal government and other federal authorities to improve on the funding of the presidential amnesty programme.

The attention of Inspector-General of Police and medical related bodies responsible for assessing human behaviours should on the alert in taking a closer look on the said Jude Gbaboyor for proper medical assessment based on his recent statement, if possible he should be subjected to a temporary solitary confinement.
