Gov. Diri Receives Bayelsa NUJ Leadership, Congratulates Them

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri received in courtesy visit of the leadership of Nigerian Union of Journalist, Bayelsa State Chapter in Government House, Yenagoa.

Hot News reported that the Bayelsa state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalist conducted its elections, which ushered in new leadership executives in the state chapter.

Governor Diri congratulating the leadership of the state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, said they should perceive their leadership offices as an opportunity to render selfless services and contributions to humanity and society basically.

The state helmsman assured the leadership of collaboration with media practitioners in the state, as partners to promote the good works of the prosperity government in delivering good governance to the people of the state and beyond.

Diri urged the journalists to always remain resolute and non-partisan and objective in their reportage, noting that they have a responsibility of promoting the good works of his administration in various sectors, fostering peace, unity and development in the state.

He assured the leadership delegation of the prosperity government’s unwavering support towards the hosting of the Bayelsa NUJ proposed Bayelsa Media Summit respectively.
