Diri Inaugurates Six Secondary Sch Buildings For Improved Learning Environment

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has inaugurated six (6) secondary school building in Yenagoa metropolis for improved and conducive learning environment for students and teachers as steps towards repositioning the educational sector in the State.
The inauguration which is part of the five years anniversary of the prosperity government, Governor Diri said his administration will continue to prioritize delivering people-oriented developmental projects that will stand the test of time.
The state helmsman reiterated his unwavering commitment in completing all ongoing projects initiated by his administration for the general interest of the people of the state, adding that the projects will be the legacies of his administration.
Hot News gathered the inauguration ceremony was massively attended by traditional rulers, government officials, stakeholders, women and youth groups, reaffirmed the deliberate steps of the Governor Diri’s administration in improving the educational sector in the state.
Gov. Diri urged the management of the schools to make proper use of the buildings for improved learning environment, noting that the management and maintenance of public (government) facilities has been a great concern over the years.
In his remarks, the Paramount Ruler of Biogbolo Community, HRH Frank Amos speaking on behalf of the benefiting communities of Biogbolo, Yenizue-gene, Ekeki, Igbogbene, Akenfa and Ovom, appreciated Gov. Diri and the prosperity government for the construction of the befitting buildings.
He urged the management of the schools to make proper use of the befitting buildings in imparting quality knowledge to the students to achieve academic excellence, which is the primary objective of the governor and the government.
Few dignitaries who graced the inauguration ceremony are: Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Peter Pereotubo Akpe, Chief of Staff Government House, and other top government functionaries.
