Ewhrudjakpo’s Death: Senator Dickson Receives Asari, Other Bayelsans

Former governor of Bayelsa State and serving Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has received several condolence visits from Bayelsans and Nigerians over the sudden death of his friend, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

Senator Dickson on Friday, 2nd January, 2026, received an elder statesman and political leader from Bayelsa state, Elder Asari A. Asari, who visited to sympathize with him and his family over the death of the Late Bayelsa Deputy Governor.

In same vein, the national lawmaker received two illustrious, promising youth leaders from Bayelsa state, Dr Matthew Ayibakuro and Engr. Elvis Donkemezuo at his Abuja residence.

The nationalist expressed profound gratitude to the leaders for their thoughtful condolence visits, sympathy and concern.

The statement read in parts:

“I received condolence visits from an elder statesman and political leader in Bayelsa, Elder Asara A. Asara, who came to pay his condolences over the death of my brother, E-Lawrenzi.

“Similarly, I received condolence visits from two promising youth leaders from Bayelsa State who are doing well in their various endeavours—Dr. Matthew Ayibakuro and Engr. Elvis Donkemezuo, FNSE—and I thank them for their visits, sympathy, and concern.
