Dr. Akpe Bids Farewell To Aunt, Late Mama Adagba-Ere .E
Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Pastor Peter Pereotubo Akpe, PhD, has paid glowing tributes to his beloved Aunt, Late Mrs. Adagba-ere Egberiwarebo (Née Akpe), describing her as a remarkable woman whose life was defined by peace, love, kindness, and selfless service to humanity.
Hotnews gathered that the funeral ceremony held on Saturday in honour of the late matriarch at Ayamasa Community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, was massively attended by family members, friends, government officials, community leaders, and sympathizers gathered to celebrate her life and legacy.
Late Mrs. Adagba-ere Egberiwarebo, who passed on at the age of 90, lived from 1936 to 2026 and was remembered by many as a mother figure whose wisdom, humility, and generosity positively impacted countless lives in the community.
Speaking at the funeral service, Dr. Akpe said his aunt lived a fulfilled and exemplary life, noting that she remained a source of inspiration and guidance to her family and the larger community throughout her lifetime.

Dr. Akpe further noted that while the family mourns her passing, they are comforted by the fact that she lived a long, productive, and impactful life, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy worthy of emulation.
He urged younger generations to draw inspiration from her exemplary lifestyle, stressing the importance of preserving family values, respect for elders, and communal harmony.
The funeral ceremony attracted a large turnout of top government officials, political leaders, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, religious leaders, and numerous sympathizers who came to pay their final respects to the deceased immeasurable impacts.
