Sagbama Acting Chairman Attends Orientation Exercise For Newly Employed Primary Healthcare Staff
The Acting Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. (Mrs) Diepriye Roseline Yankee-Robinson, on Thursday joined other Local Government Council Chairmen at the orientation exercise for over 800 newly employed primary healthcare personnel in Bayelsa State.
The orientation exercise organised by the Bayelsa State Local Government Service Commission in collaboration with the Bayelsa State Primary Health Care Board, was held at the Yenagoa Local Government Council Conference Hall, with the attendance of the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Brisibe Seiyefa, and officials of the Ministry of Health and Primary Health Care Board.
Mrs. Yankee-Robinson congratulated the newly employed health workers on their employment, and urged them to approach their responsibilities and duties with dedication, discipline and professionalism as they commence deployment to their respective places of assignment across the state.
She charged the health personnel to prioritise effective service delivery to contribute meaningfully to improving access to quality primary healthcare for residents in their respective communities across the state.
The Acting Chairman commended the Prosperity Government led by His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, and his Deputy, Dr. Peter Akpe, for the recruitment of over 800 healthcare workers, describing the initiative as an important step towards strengthening healthcare services across the state.
She also expressed optimism that the deployment of the new health personnel would further improve healthcare delivery and strengthen primary healthcare services in communities across Bayelsa State.
