PANDEF Mourns Victims Of Nigerian Air Force Aircraft Crash
The Board of Trustees and the National Leadership of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic crash of a Nigerian Air Force aircraft in the vicinity of Igbokoda, Ondo State, on Monday, October 5, 2026.
In a statement signed by its National Chairman, Godknows Boladei Igali, PANDEF, on behalf of the South-South region, condoled with the families of the victims, the Nigerian Air Force, the Federal Government and Nigerians. The forum noted that several South-South indigenes were among those who lost their lives in the tragedy.
PANDEF described the incident as a painful national loss, particularly as many of the victims were young Nigerians serving the country in the line of duty. It called on Nigerians to continue praying for the affected families and for military personnel serving across the country.
The forum also urged the Federal Government to strengthen investments in military equipment, maintenance and operational readiness, while calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
PANDEF further appealed to Nigerians to remain united and support efforts to promote peace and security amid the security challenges confronting the nation over the past years.
