It has been confirmed that some weeks ago, Gov Douye Diri hosted leaders of the Rivers state PDP, who are confirmed political enemies of Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, and who are also working against the interest of the PDP candidate in the state.

News from a reliable source who preferred to maintain the anonymity of these leaders, equally stated that the Bayelsa State governor in the meeting gave the team the sum of 300,000.00 USD.

All of this may not be unlinked to the media attack by Gov. Wike as Bayelsans have continued to ask why the Bayelsa state helms man has not publicly challenged the revelation by Gov Wike concerning the refund of the derivation arrears nor did he provide any official fund disbursement account to the public since the revelation was made.

Rather, the Bayelsa State governor is allegedly seen hosting anti-Wike Rivers PDP leaders and parting with public funds. Is this not a camouflaged declaration of war?

Does it not translate to the Bayelsa Governor forming alliances with and providing reinforcement and support to Gov. Wike’s political foes to fight him?

It is equally a fact that the Bayelsa governor is a coordinator of the Atiku campaign, could this be a ready and unsuspecting machine to execute the plot to humiliate his Rivers State counterpart taking advantage of the recent rift between Wike and the PDP presidential candidate?

The handwriting on the wall is not very clear but if the argument is what is stated, it means Gov. Wike is totally finished.

For some months now, all Nigerians are aware that Gov. Wike and his G5 governors have continued to demand for the resignation of the PDP National Chairman.

Despite the persistence by Gov. Wike and his G-5 governor’s, the party has refused to bulge but rather moving on and gaining grounds.
The Bayelsa State governor has support base across the South South and will be contributing immensely to ensuring the success of the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in his region.

Bayelsa state elections is in another ten months from now and it calls for concern why the governor will be expending state funds on personal political assignments when the state continues to suffer from a lack of projects. The level of projects done in the state, are nothing to write home about and not commensurate to the amount of funds received or claimed to be expended by the government.
