Breaking: Tinubu Writes Senate, Seeks Appointments Confirmation Of NEDC Board Members

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday wrote to the Senate to seek confirmation of appointment of members of the governing board of North East Development Commission (NEDC).

The commission was established with the responsibility of managing and coordinating intervention programmes and initiatives by the federal government or any of its ministries, departments, agencies or parastatals.

The commission is a federal government intervention agency established to rebuild infrastructure and institutions destroyed by Boko Haram in North-East Nigeria.

The commission oversees activities in Borno, Adamawa, Bauchi, Taraba, Gombe and Yobe states respectively.
