Rivers Crisis: Senator Dickson Visits Pa E.K Clark, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR

The Former Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, paid a solidarity visit to the National Leader of the Ijaw nation, Pa. E.K Clark at his residence in Abuja, as he always do.

The former Governor and Senator made this known through his official facebook handle, described the national leader of the Ijaw nation, as the eye and mouthpiece of the Niger Delta and the Ijaw nation basically.

Senator Dickson also paid a courtesy visit to the former President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, at his residence in Abuja, to discuss pertinent issues and developments in Rivers State, in order to proffer lasting solution to ensure peace and stability in the state specifically.

The federal lawmaker’s solidarity visit to the two national leaders, was to brief them of the developments in Rivers State, and share ideas towards proffering lasting solutions, as a brother state to Bayelsa, that is conjoined culturally, economically, politically and otherwise basically.

According to Senator Dickson, the two national leaders are concerned like everyone else, and stressed the great need for peace, tolerance and stability to enable Governor Siminalayi Fubara executive his policies and programs for the general benefit of the people of the State.

The statement reads: “Yesterday, I visited our father Pa E.K. Clark and our leader the former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR at their homes in Abuja to brief them and share ideas on the developments in Rivers State.

“They are both concerned like everyone else and on the same page with our earlier message on the need for peace, tolerance and stability to enable the Governor execute his policies and programs for the benefit of the people.
