Group Lauds FCT Minister, Wike For Lokpobiri’s Appointment
The Bayelsa West Youth Frontiers (BWYF) has lauded the generosity of the Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), His Excellency, Barr. Nyesom Wike for facilitating Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri’s appointment as Minister of State For Petroleum Resources (Oil).
The socio-political non-governmental organization in Bayelsa West Senatorial District, commended the FCT Minister for his magnanimity for facilitating the appointment of their illustrious son, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri as Petroleum Minister.
The group in a statement issued to newsmen in Yenagoa on Sunday, 29th of September, 2024, described the former Governor of Rivers State as a generous leader with a large heart whose political ideology and perspective is worthy of emulation.
Sen. Lokpobiri while making remarks in an event in Port-harcourt during the weekend, stated that his political appointment as Minister of State For Petroleum Resources (Oil) was concluded in Barr. Nyesom Wike’s residence in Port-harcourt and Abuja.
The honorable minister’s revelation and appreciation to the federal capital territory boss, is one out of the numerous testimonies of the benevolent deeds of the former helmsman of Rivers state towards the Ijaw people over the years.
Sen. Lokpobiri while recounting the tremendous benefits of the Ijaws facilitated by the federal capital territory minister under the President Bola Tinubu administration, urged the Ijaw people to work closely with the honorable minister to succeed.
He stated that the Ijaw people have so much to benefit under the current administration working hand in hand with the federal capital territory minister, as so many Ijaws national appointments were facilitated by him through his benevolence, generosity.
The group while commending the honorable petroleum minister, Sen. Lokpobiri for the public show of gratitude to Barr. Wike, urged other Ijaw beneficiaries to tow the same line, as appreciation is an application for more, as a motivational factor.
While rendering their unwavering support to Sen. Lokpobiri and Barr. Wike to succeed in office, the group urged President Bola Tinubu not to relent in giving them the necessary support in promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration.
“Sen. Lokpobiri is our illustrious son from the senatorial district. We the people of Bayelsa West is very proud of his achievements, and we will support him to succeed in office, as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), the group added.
