The third phase leadership while reiterating its members commitment and support for the management of the commission, stated that the management is doing tremendously well, and its members can’t have any protest against the management.

The statement read in parts: “We the Niger Delta Ex-agitators under the Presidential Amnesty Programme (Third Phase) Bayelsa State Chapter, under the leadership of Elaye Slaboh, hereby issue this counter publication to categorically debunk and condemn a malicious and misleading publication circulating on various media platforms, falsely attributed to officials of the Third Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

“The publication claims to announce a protest against the leadership of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for alleged marginalization and exclusion of members.

“We hereby disown and reject the said publication as a nefarious attempt by undocumented leaders (impostors) to deceive, mislead, and cause harm to the reputation of our esteemed organization and the NDDC.

“We emphasize that the publication did not originate from Third Phase or its authorized representatives.

“The claims of marginalization and exclusion are entirely unfounded and fabricated and no protest or demonstration has been planned or sanctioned by Third Phase Leadership.

“The said Amb. Preye Ekpebide is an imposter conniving with Dr.Alaye Theophilus (Factional IYC President) to perpetrate violence and cause public unrest within the Niger Delta and should be disregarded.

“We have reason to believe that these impostors have criminal intentions aimed at inciting public unrest and violence, defaming the Third Phase Ex-agitators and NDDC, and to extort funds or benefits from unsuspecting individuals.

“We call on security agencies to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators, prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law and protect the public from their malicious activities. We urge the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS) and other relevant security agencies to be vigilant and take immediate action.

“We urge the public to disregard the false publication and be cautious of malicious actors and make haste to report any suspicious activities.

“Let’s work together to prevent harm and ensure the safety of our members and the general public.
