“This engagement provided an opportunity to reaffirm our unwavering commitment at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to translating the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President into tangible and measurable outcomes for our people.
“I informed Mr President that the successes we are recording are largely due to the tremendous support we have continued to receive from the Presidency, as well as the clear directive to ensure the completion of all legacy projects for the benefit of the Niger Delta.
“I highlighted several completed and near-completed projects, including the hostel complex at Niger Delta University, the road project in Ikot Ekpene, and the electrification project in Oron, Akwa Ibom State. I also formally invited Mr President to commission these projects, as a demonstration of the Federal Government’s commitment to sustainable development in the region.
“Speaking further on the Niger Delta University hostel project, I noted that it is designed to address the long-standing accommodation challenges faced by students. The facility will provide a more conducive living environment, reduce stress associated with off-campus housing, and ultimately enhance academic performance by enabling students to reside within the university community.
“During the meeting, I reiterated our determination to deepen alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda, while accelerating the delivery of other critical infrastructure projects that are at advanced stages. These include the Kaa–Ataba Road and Bridge in Rivers State, the Niger Delta Regional Specialist Hospital in Rivers State, and additional road projects in Ikot Ekpene.
“I also briefed Mr President on our collaborative efforts with the Delta State Government and Chevron Nigeria Limited on the 70.75km Omadino–Okerenkoko–Escravos Road and bridges in Warri North Local Government Area, which remains a vital corridor for economic growth in the region.
“At the NDDC, we remain focused and resolute in delivering impactful projects that improve the quality of life of our people, while justifying the confidence reposed in us by the Federal Government.
