Salga APC Leaders Condemn Request To Reverse PAP Interim Administrator Appointment.
The attention of APC leaders of Sagbama Local Government Area extraction has been drawn to a baseless and misleading publication trending in the social media written by an amorphous sociopolitical group, christened South- South APC Youth League, seeking the reversal of the appointment of Maj. Gen. Barry T Ndiomu (Rtd) as the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).
The Sagbama APC leaders wish to state unequivocally that the said publication is baseless in its entirety, malicious in its content, misleading in all ramifications and borne out of figment of imagination of some detractors, orchestrated to foment crises in the party, which is capable of causing adverse effects on the outcome of elections in the near future.
According to the APC leaders, they are in good authority to repudiate such mischievous publication as the said retired Military General is a card carrying member of APC, registered in Ward 8 (Odoni Community) and had openly supported the party in previous elections. The leaders, therefore, enjoin the signatory, Mr. Hillary Ogbara to desist from such act of engaging in pulling down syndrome, as the write up is intended to cast aspersion on the integrity of their son, who had always demonstrated exemplary conduct while in active service.
The APC leaders further stated that they have a prima facie evidence to underscore and authenticate the veracity of their claims and can also attest to the fact that Maj. Gen. Barry T Ndiomu had played pivotal roles for the party in the past. The leaders of Sagbama Local Government Area extraction averred that the choice of Major General Ndiomu has not polarized the party at the Local Government level following his appointment and therefore, it is rather illogical and absord for the signatory to think that Maj General’s appointment will cause disaffection at any other level; they noted with utmost certainty that the choice of their son has rekindled their dashed hopes, as he will certainly play crucial roles overtly in the forthcoming elections. It is, therefore, expedient for all well meaning Niger Deltans to throw their weight behind the most suitable choice of appointment and refrain from dissipating their creative energies in what they described as “engaging in the act of crabology”.
In view of the above said issues, the APC leaders call on President Muhammadu Buhari to disregard such a misleading call, intended to orchestrate pent up resentment and cast aspersion on the quality of service to be delivered by their son, who is always diligent in carrying out avowed responsibilities. They, however, thank Mr. President profoundly for appointing such a retired discipline officer, who has shown unwavering commitment to the noble ideals of our party.
