Sagbama Council Boss Inspects General Hospital Sagbama, Assess Healthcare Delivery

The Acting Chairperson of Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. Diepriye Roseline Robinson-Yankee, paid an official visit to Sagbama General Hospital, as part of efforts to assess the condition of the medical facility in evaluation of healthcare delivery within the local government area.

The visit provided the council boss with an opportunity to inspect the hospital environment, assess the state of its facilities and interact with healthcare personnel on the challenges confronting the effective delivery of medical services to the people of the local government area.

During the inspection, Hon. Roseline Robinson-Yankee toured sections of the hospital and took time to observe the level of preparedness of the facility to meet the healthcare needs of people within Sagbama and surrounding communities in the local council area.

She also engaged with members of staff, listening to their concerns and receiving first-hand information on the operational needs of the hospital.

The Acting Chairperson stressed the importance of accessible and quality healthcare, noting that the health sector remains a critical component of grassroots development.

She emphasized that residents, particularly women, children, the elderly and vulnerable members of society, deserve access to functional healthcare services within their communities.

Hon. Robinson-Yankee said the visit was also aimed at identifying areas where appropriate interventions could be considered to improve the hospital’s capacity and enhance the quality of care provided to patients.

She commended the medical personnel and other workers at the General Hospital, Sagbama, for their dedication and commitment to serving the people despite the challenges associated with their duties.

The inspection underscores the determination of the Acting Chairperson to strengthen social services and promote people-oriented governance in Sagbama Local Government Area.
