APC-NYC South-South Zone Condemn Call To Reverse Amnesty Interim Administrator Appointment.

The Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), National Youth Council (NYC), South-South Zone has condemned in strong terms of the call by an unknown group, South-South APC Youth League, to reverse the appointment of Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu (Rtd), as Interim Administrator Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

In a statement by the APC-NYC South-South Zone Publicity Secretary, Comr Preye Bagou, described the group as a faceless group which is unknown as a support group under the party platform.

Bagou described the purported publication as a misleading information from a faceless group sponsored by mischievous unscrupulous elements with the primary motive of misinforming the general public and seeking attention out of ignorance geard towards causing disunity in the Niger Delta region.

He stated categorically that Ndiomu is the best man for the task with the needed requisite knowledge and experience to competently and gallantly manage the affairs of the programme effectively, which is a great step in the right direction towards building a more peaceful atmosphere in the Niger Delta region and the Country at large.

“Ndiomu is a card carrying member of the APC, fully registered in his ward who have a close working relationship with stakeholders and leaders of the party in the local government area and beyond over the years, and shouldn’t be dragged to such petty misleading claims of being a non-member of the party.

Bagou urged those peddling the misleading claims to desist from such acts which is nothing but, the intention to pull down and tarnish the reputation of the new interim administrator but, rather they should work unanimously with the new administrator to achieve the desired results of the programme.

He further described Ndiomu’s appointment as a great step in the right direction as an experienced security expert with the requisite knowledge and ideas to give a facelift of the programme, working with critical stakeholders of the niger delta region to achieve the desired results in the nearest future.
