Akpe Urges Politicians To Put Brotherhood Above Politics
Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Peter Akpe, has called on politicians in the state to avoid allowing political differences to create division among the people, urging them to remain conscious of their shared ancestry and brotherhood.
Hotnews reports that Dr. Akpe made the call when he visited the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Candidate for the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency, Chief Selekebina Saboh, at his residence in Yenagoa to celebrate his 53rd birthday anniversary.
The Deputy Governor congratulated Chief Saboh on the occasion and urged politicians to remember that they were brothers before politics.
He prayed God to grant the celebrant continued blessings, good health and fulfilment.
Responding, Chief Saboh commended Dr. Akpe for his leadership style, and expressed appreciation to the Deputy Governor and his entourage for the visit.
