Highlife Donates Food Items, Cash Gifts To Flood Victims In Sagbama Constituency ||

The Bayelsa State House of Assembly Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Sagbama Constituency ||, Engr Humphrey Highlife Peremobowei, has donated relief materials to flood victims in various Communities across the Constituency to reduce thier sufferings caused by the ravaging perennial flooding.

Highlife while addressing some newsmen stated that he was touched by the pains and sufferings of the people caused by the devasting flood which has made so many families vulnerable and helpless, stressing that there was a great need to personally witness the ugly situation and render material and financial assistance to the people at this trying time.

Highlife as a generous and humanitarian youthful leader who understands the pains and sufferings of his constituents beyond political party affiliation perceived the great need to provide relief materials to be distributed to the floor victims, after taking a personal tour to various communities across the constituency.

The state house of assembly candidate stated categorically that the negative impacts of the ravaging flood on the lives of the people cannot be over-emphasized, stressing that the people are experiencing very difficult situation which has made a lot of people and families homeless and helpless as a result of the uncontrollable devasting flooding.

Highlife who visited Kabeama, Toru-ebeni and Akeddei Communities respectively, all in Sagbama Constituency two under Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, to personally witness the distribution of the relief materials such as bags of rice, bags of beans, bags of garri, cartons of indomie, mosquito nets and other medical equipments plus cash gifts to the flood victims.

The relief materials were handed over to the leadership of the various communities for equitable distribution of the relief materials to the flood victims beyond political party affiliation, as a little assistance to reduce the pains and suffering of the flood victims whose livelihoods has been destroyed in the respective communities and beyond.

Highlife used the medium to visit traditional rulers, community leaderships, elderly men and women from compound to compound and door to door to render financial support and relief materials to reduce the devasting situation been experienced by the people in various communities across the constituency and beyond.

He further used the medium to encourage his constituents mostly those who are greatly affected by the ravaging perennial flooding never to be discouraged with the present situation been experienced in various communities across the constituency, stressing that the flood will recede in no distant time by the grace and mercy of God.

Highlife appealed to private individuals, state government, federal government and other government parastatals to come to the aid of the flood victims, stressing that the people are greatly in need of relief materials describing the situation as a very pathetic circumstance in various communities in the local government area and beyond.

The state house of assembly candidate was accompanied by Sagbama Local Government APC Chairman, Hon. Abeke Tariladei Jonah, and other Local Government and Ward Executives to distribute the relief materials to the various Communities in the Local Government Area.
