Bagou Commends Ndiomu For Effective Management Of The Presidential Amnesty Programme

The Technical Assistant (TA) to the Governor of Bayelsa State on Special Duties, Mr Diepreye Bagou has commended the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Maj-General Barry Ndiomu (Retd) for the effective management of the programme since assumption in office.

Bagou made the commendation when he paid a courtesy visit to Maj-General Ndiomu in his office in Abuja, stressing that the presidential amnesty programme has been improved and restructured for effective performance under his competent and result-oriented leadership.

In a statement issued by Bagou through his official facebook handle, described the amnesty boss as a great leader with vast knowledge, experience and ideas that has improved and restructured the programme tremendously for the general benefit of the people of the Niger Delta region and beyond.

“Investigations indicates that the presidential amnesty programme was faced with some irregularities under previous administrations, but the current interim administrator, Maj-General Ndiomu corrected and restructured the programme immediately assumption in office towards achieving the desired result of the programme,” Bagou added.

Bagou who had an extensive interaction with Ndiomu, stated the unrelenting readiness and passion of the amnesty boss in reshaping and restructuring the programme targeted at the teeming youths of the Niger Delta to be trained in different vocational skills to enable them to be productive and self-reliant.

“The previous administration made deliberate efforts to wind down the programme, but the programme was continued through the bold and brilliant steps of the current interim administrator and other critical stakeholders of the Niger Delta, reiterating the importance of the programme to the people of the Niger Delta,” Bagou added.

Bagou stated that the interim administrator, Maj-General Ndiomu’s deep insight to restructure the presidential amnesty programme for proper engagement of the teeming youths of the Niger Delta for self-reliance and productivity is overwhelming, which cannot be understated and overemphasized.

He urged all critical stakeholders, traditional leaders, women and youths of the Niger Delta to continue to support and work closely with the current interim administrator, Maj-General Ndiomu geared towards achieving the desired result of the programme for the general benefit of the region.

The statement reads: “Today, I paid a courtesy visit to the performing Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Maj-General Barry Ndiomu (Retd) at the office in Abuja, Nigeria.

“We discussed extensively on pertinent issues towards reshaping and restructuring the programme, the growth and development of the Niger Delta region and Nigeria at large.

“The amnesty boss wealth of knowledge, experience, ideas, capability in handling the presidential amnesty programme cannot be understated and overemphasized.

“My interaction with the amnesty boss, clearly indicates his unrelenting readiness in restructuring the programme to achieve the desired result for the general benefit of the people of the Niger Delta region.

“I hereby urge all critical stakeholders, traditional leaders, women and youths of the Niger Delta to support and work closely with the amnesty boss in achieving the desired result of the programme.
