Bayelsa Govt Lines Up Activities To Mark Gov. Diri’s 5Years

The lined up activities of the Bayelsa State Government to mark the 5th anniversary of the Prosperity Government led by His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, His Excellency, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo few weeks ago.
Hot News gathered that to mark the 5th anniversary of the prosperity government, the government will inaugurate seven (17) completed projects, and flagg-off three (3) new legacy projects conceived by the administration respectively.
In a press briefing, the Commissioner For Information, Orientation and Strategy, Mrs Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai and the Commissioner For Works and Infrastructure, Surv Moses Teibowei disclosed the government’s lined up activities to mark the 5th anniversary of the administration.
The 5th anniversary of the prosperity government which commenced on the 10th of February, 2025, and will end on the 3rd of March, 2025, started with a medical outreach at Ikarama community in Okordia, Yenagoa Local Government Area.
It was followed by the inauguration of High Profile Road opposite Prosco company, and commissioning of Hemodialysis Centre at Bayelsa Medical University, General Outpatient Hospital, Zipline Drone Services, and the 800 metres Concrete roads at Bayelsa Palm.
The 5th anniversary of the Senator Douye Diri led prosperity government was continued with a Thanksgiving Service at the Ecumenical Centre in Igbogbene on the 13th, and Banquet Hall on the 14th of February, 2025.
Projects that will be commissioned to mark the 5th anniversary of the prosperity government are: Onuebum-Otuoke road, Opolo-Elebele road, Roads 1 and 2 in the New Yenagoa City, Legislator’s quarters, Labour House, Commissioner’s quarters, Sagbama-Ekeremor road.
The prosperity government during this 5th anniversary will perform the ground-breaking of the iconic 9-storey civil servants secretariat complex, Ekeremor-Agge road and the new 25,000 seater stadium at Igbogbene, Yenagoa LGA.
But unfortunately, the inauguration of projects to mark the 5th anniversary of the prosperity government has been put on hold for three days to mourn the death of an Ijaw Icon and leader, Late Chief Pa Edwin Kiagbodo Clark who died at the age of 97.
