Bayelsa West APC Elders Forum Congratulates Lokpobiri On His Appointment As Minister Of State, Petroleum Resources

The members of the Bayelsa West APC Elders Forum has congratulated Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, on his nomination and subsequent appointment as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Recall that Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri was nominated by President Bola Tinubu to the 10th Senate for screening and confirmation as a ministerial designate representing Bayelsa. Subsequently, he was appointed as the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources.

The statement reads: “The members of Bayelsa West APC Elders forum have sent a message of congratulation to Senator Heineken Lokpobiri following his appointment as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In a statement signed by the chairman of the APC Elders forum, Senator J K Brambaifa, the group describes the appointment of Senator Heineken Lokpobiri as a suitable and divine call in view of his impeccable track record of achievements and vast experience in the conduct of state affairs, noting that the choice of the former law maker will certainly make significant difference and cutting edge changes to the activities of the Federal Executive Council.

Members of the group express optimism that the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources will always perform above board in the discharge of his avowed responsibilities, adding that the choice of Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has created high sense of belonging and attendant motivation to the people of the Bayelsa West Senatorial district.

The members of the Forum also use this medium to express their profound gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing their son as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources in the Federal Executive Council, stating that the choice of such an experienced hand from Bayelsa State is an acknowledgement of the contributions of the state in national development and a clear testimony of Mr. President’s unparalleled commitment to swiftly surmount the varying economic challenges besetting the nation.

The members of the Forum, therefore, call on the great people of Bayelsa West Senatorial district in particular and the public in general to give their unalloyed support to our son for him to accomplish the new assignment given to him as well as the incumbent administration in order to create the desired conducive atmosphere for the APC-led Federal Government to implement its people-centred policies and programmes.
