Breaking: Lawmaker Shot Dead In Enugu State

A Councilor representing Eha-Ulo Ward in Nsukka Local Government Legislative Council of Enugu State, Nelson Sylvester, popularly known as Ofunwa, has been shot dead.

Hot News gathered that the lawmaker was murdered by gunmen on Sunday night at his residence in Eha-Alumonah.

Although details of the incident are still doubtful, but a reliable source disclosed that the assassins stormed the lawmaker’s house and started shooting sporadically.

He added that the councilor ran into a neighbouring compound, where he was shot dead and his lifeless body was recovered.

The development has created so much tension in the community and other neighbouring communities.

The source described the suspected assassination as one of too many, added that “it is heartbreaking; it is too hard for us to swallow. We are in deep agony.”
