Breaking: Udengs Loses Out As Blessing Emerges LP Governorship Candidate In Bayelsa November 11th Gubernatorial Election

A Frontline Governorship Aspirant of the Labour Party (LP) in the November 11th Bayelsa Gubernatorial election, Mrs Blessing Clement Azibanagbai has emerged as the valid governorship candidate of the party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Hot News reported that the Labour Party governorship primaries were conducted by two faction in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi. Engr Udengs Eradiri’s governorship primaries were conducted by the Abure-led faction, while Mrs Blessing Clement Azibanagbai’s governorship primaries were conducted by the Apapa-led faction of the party.

Engr Udengs Eradiri loses out as the governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Bayelsa, as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognizes Mrs Blessing Clement Azibanagbai as the governorship candidate of the party, whose governorship primaries were conducted by the Apapa-led faction of the party.

Recall that the Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri on Thursday, 20th July, 2023, nullified the governorship candidates of the Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party (LP) in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States respectively, for the November 11th gubernatorial election.

The Court of Appeal in an unanimous judgment of three (3) man panel of Judges declared the governorship candidates of the Lamidi Apapa-led faction of the Labour Party, as the valid candidates of the party in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States respectively, for the November 11th gubernatorial election.

The nullification of the governorship candidates of the Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party came as a result of Abure’s disobedience to court order restraining him as the national chairman of the party, and went ahead to conduct parallel governorship primary elections in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States.

While the Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa in accordance with the decision of the National Working Committee of the party conducted valid governorship primary elections in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States for the November 11th gubernatorial election respectively.

The valid governorship candidates of the Labour Party (LP) in the November 11th gubernatorial election in Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi states respectively, were made known in a statement by the National Youth Leader of the Party, Comrade Eragbe Anslem, while addressing newsmen in Abuja on Monday, 21st of August, 2023.

The statement reads: “Peter Obi’s purported visit to Imo state for Sen. Attan Achonu’s governorship campaigns flag-off will be in utter contempt of the Court Judgments that is in favor of Chief Ukaegbu Ikechukwu Joseph, as the authentic Labour Party Governorship Candidate in Imo State.

“That the purported official Governorship Campaign Flag-Off at the Kanu Nwankwo Sports Complex Owerri”, is the question that has since remained on the lips of Ndi-Imo that on “whose governorship candidacy is Mr. Peter Obi coming to Imo State.

“That ths is because one Senator Athan Nneji Achonu (Agu -Otu-Aka), has been against the Judgement of the Courts, and has been parading himself in contempt of the valid Court Judgements as the Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the Saturday November 11, 2023 Imo State Governorship election.

“That Sen. Attan Achonu’s claims arises from the illegal and unlawful Gubernatorial Primaries conducted on 15th April, 2023 in Imo State by Julius Abure and other NWC members: Umar Farouk Ibrahim, Ojukwu Clement, Mrs Oluchi Opara Restrained on 5th April, 2023 by the FCT High Court Order from Parading themselves As National Chairman and Executives of the Labour Party LP.

“That Alhaji Lamidi Bashiru Apapa, the Authentic Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party LP in Nigeria effective 6th April, 2023 till Date and his National Working Committee, NWC members conducted the Labour Party LP valid primaries for the Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States on 16th April, 2023 leading to the emergence of the the listed Gubernatorial Candidates:

(a): Chief Ukaegbu Ikechukwu Joseph Ikenga as the Gubernatorial Candidate for Imo State,

(b): Hon. Clement Blessing Azibanagbal as the Gubernatorial Candidate for Bayelsa State,

(c): Col. Abu Vincent Enemona, Rtd as the Gubernatorial Candidate for Kogi State.

“All for the 11th November, 2023 Gubernatorial Election in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States,” he added.
