Dickson Offers Support To 1st Class Graduates Of UAT
Former Governor of Bayelsa State and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has offered financial support through his foundation to first class graduates of University of Africa, Toru-Orua.
Senator Dickson made this known when he received over fifty students of the university at his country home in Toru-Orua, who came on a festive season (Christmas) visit to appreciate him for his relentless support in education, and others.
Hot News gathered that Senator Dickson through his foundation (Henry Seriake Dickson Foundation) has been rendering financial support to undergraduate and postgraduate students in various higher institutions for several years now.
Senator Dickson who was touched by the presentation of drinks as Christmas gift to appreciate him by the graduands, prayed for all of them, and urged them to keep up the life of gratitude to Man, and to God which will open more blessings for them.
While encouraging them to place more emphasis on personal development for greater academic achievements, he pledged to support them for their post-graduate studies through his foundation education support scheme for the excellent academic performance basically.
The nationalist said he will contact the University of Africa authorities once the alumni executive is elected in order to support the alumni by providing support and mentorship.
The statement read in parts: “Today, I received about 50 students who are graduates of the University of Africa Toru-Orua who came on a Christmas Visit. Surprisingly, not to ask for any Christmas gift but to present their token of Christmas appreciation to me, they presented drinks to me and whatever they could, I found that very touching and prayed for all of them and told them to keep up the life of gratitude to Man and to God and that will open more blessings for them.
“Also, I encourage them to place more emphasis on personal development informing them of my preparedness to use my foundation to support any of them who wants to go for their post graduate studies. I was very impressed.
“The Eleco chairman who is from Ekeremor local government made a First Class in Mathematics and I announced financial support and encouraged him to apply for an admission for his Masters in Mathematics or any related field which my foundation will also support, I announced the same for others.
“I told them that I will contact the UAT authorities once the alumni is elected to see how I will support the Alumni by providing support and mentorship.
