By Preye Bagou, Yenagoa
The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has received a former Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and African Democratic Congress, Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido, and his supporters to the NDC.
Senator Dickson who made this known through his official facebook handle, said he is impressed by the gigantic strides the NDC is making in various States across Nigeria in just barely a month of its emergence as a party.
Dr. Shamsuddeen who also indicated his gubernatorial ambition to contest Sokoto governorship election, was said to be spearheading the NDC progress to build strong support base towards the 2027 general elections in the state.
Dickson thanked Dr. Shamsuddeen, and supporters for the excellent work they are doing in Sokoto State, by building strong support structure, and wished the good people of Sokoto, and all Nigerians a breath of fresh air.
Hotnews quote Dickson statement and it read in parts: “I am impressed by the giant strides the NDC is making across Nigeria in just about a month of its emergence. It is particularly encouraging to note that Dr. Shamsuddeen Aliyu Haido, formerly of the APC and ADC, has officially joined the NDC as a gubernatorial aspirant in Sokoto State and is already spearheading the party’s progress there.
“Just as in Sokoto State, similar momentum is building across all states of the federation. Worthy compatriots—men, women, and youths, are increasingly making the NDC their political home. This clearly shows that the NDC is a truly pan-Nigerian ideological political party and movement.
“I thank Dr. Shamsuddeen and his compatriots for the excellent work they are doing in Sokoto State. We wish the good people of Sokoto, and indeed all Nigerians, a breath of fresh air.
“I encourage everyone to register, join, and support the NDC. The NDC is a place for people who are passionate about a new Nigeria.
“Say no to one-party rule in Nigeria or in any state.
