Diri Pays Tribute To Late, Mrs Elizabeth Timilaemi Bidei

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri in company of his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Gloria Diri few days ago, attended the service of songs in honor of the late Commissioner For Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Elizabeth Bidei.
The mourning event which took place at Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa, was attended by members of the national assembly, members of the state house of assembly, including top government functionaries, traditional leaders.
Hot News gathered that the late honorable commissioner departed planet earth on Monday, 30th of December, 2024, after a brief illness.
Mrs Elizabeth Bidei until her death, was the Bayelsa State Commissioner For Women Affairs and Social Development, and a member of the Bayelsa State Executive Council.
Governor Douye Diri described the deceased as a loyal, humble, friendly, trustworthy person who was dedicated to public service to humanity and society, not just in the government but other institutions.
He said the deceased dedication, loyalty and commitment to public service and development of the state, motivated him to create the opportunity for her to serve in the government as commissioner till her death.
The state helmsman used the medium to urge Bayelsans, and politicians in particular, to always show love to one another as one indivisible people, devoid of party affiliation or individual differences.
The governor added the departed soul will greatly be missed by the family, the government and others, and prayed to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
