Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, as he joined prominent Bayelsans and business leaders to celebrate the official opening of Ayalla Hotel Extension in Kpansia, Yenagoa.

Hotnews gathered that Governor Diri, who attended the Tuesday event, commended the hotel owner, Chief Robert Ayalla Enogha, for his vision, commitment and resilience in sustaining his investment in the hospitality industry for nearly two decades.

The Governor noted that his presence at the ceremony demonstrated the importance his administration attaches to private-sector investment and efforts to boost economic growth in the state.

He stated that the Government of Assured Prosperity would continue to invest in critical infrastructure, security and electricity to attract more investors and support existing businesses.

Governor Diri expressed optimism that the steady supply of electricity from the state’s 60-megawatt gas turbines would significantly reduce operating costs for businesses, thereby improving the investment climate and encouraging economic activities.

The Governor also visited the newly opened Trend’s Place Hotel and Suites in Okaka, Yenagoa, to inspect the facility, describing such investments as valuable additions to the state capital’s growing hospitality industry.

He reiterated his administration’s determination to support private investors and position Bayelsa as an attractive destination for business, tourism and hospitality development.
