Gov. Diri Receives Face Of Africa Leadership Award

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has received the People’s Governor of the Year Award from the prestigious Triangle Media International in partnership with the Face of Africa Leadership.

The Governor was honored with the prestigious continental award for his peaceful disposition, all-inclusiveness style of leadership and governance, primarily focused on the peace, stability and development of the State over the years in office.

Governor Diri has made laudable achievements improving various sectors in the state, most especially infrastructure, sports, security, education, job creation, agriculture, healthcare, human capital development in the past few years.

The annual prestigious award is primarily focused on recognizing and commending outstanding achievements and performance of leaders in various fields, making tremendous contributions to humanity and society basically.

Hot News gathered that the prestigious continental award was received by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah on behalf of the Governor in London, United Kingdom.

The Governor is honoured with the Face of Africa Leadership Award just after a week he was honoured with the Icon of Unity and Social Justice by the Ijaw National Congress of the Americas in Houston, Texas.

It’s an unarguable fact that such national and international awards, motivates the awardees to do more in making life-changing impacts to humanity and nation-building in their respective fields for a better society.

Governor Diri who is passionate about delivering good governance towards improving the welfare of the citizens, will be more motivated by making strenuous efforts in improving various sectors for the development of Bayelsa State.
