In a statement sent to newsmen of hotnews by the group spokesman, Chief Allen Christopher, described the misleading claims by the APC senatorial candidate, Wilson as an indication of someone who is not ready for an election and has fail woefully before the election proper, and has resulted to cheap blackmail and defamation of the senator, Dickson’s political reputation.

“It is very necessary and pertinent to note that the claims not only lacks content and mischievous, but laughable considering the circumferences surrounding the emergence of his candidacy in the APC, due to lack of coordination and pomposity of his personality which has created a vacuum between him and his party stakeholders in the senatorial district.

“Wilson’s frivolous claims of Dickson sponsoring the investigation of his secondary and tertiary education certificates which is carried out by security agencies clearly indicate that Wilson is not academically qualified to contest any election, stressing that it is the jurisdiction of security agencies to investigate the credentials of people whenever the need arises.

“It is important to note that the court and security agencies are constituted authorities to investigate the credentials of party candidates if they are eligible academically and otherwise to contest an election into elective offices mostly the lawmaking business, which is in accordance with the constitution of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Chief Christopher stated that some lawmakers results to sit-down-look syndrome in the house due to lack of academic qualifications and requisite knowledge to sponsor bills that will attract economic growth and development to their constituents after been elected into office, which will be the exact situation of the APC senatorial candidate in Bayelsa West, Wilson Ayakpo Dauyegha.

“Wilson as a member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly has not sponsored any bill and successfully passed in the house since elected into office in 2019, stressing that the sit-down-look attitude of the state house of assembly member is as a result of lack of requisite knowledge and proper educational background from primary education to tertiary education.

Christopher described the frivolous claim of Wilson against Dickson that the people of Sagbama and Ekeremor has rejected him as a statement that lacks facts and sincerity, stressing that Dickson is widely accepted by the people of Sagbama and Ekeremor beyond political party affiliation, as a result of his laudable achievements while in public service.

He further stated that the frivolous claim of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), is after the performing senator representing the senatorial district as laughable, and a statement generated from beer-parlour discussions, adding that the commission only invited the senator to make proper clarifications on false accusations against him and nothing more.

“The above misleading claims are nothing but fake news and mere blackmail geared towards defaming the political reputation of Senator Dickson as a result of the people total acceptance of his candidacy to be reelected back to the senate in the forthcoming general election to continue the remarkable track record he has created in the red chamber since assumption in office.

Chief Christopher in a concluding statement urged the general public to disregard the claims as fake news to blackmail Dickson, stressing that the people of Sagbama and Ekeremor beyond party affiliation will come out en masse to cast their votes for the performing senator, Dickson come 2023 to attract more developmental projects and human capital development to the senatorial district.
