HSD Foundation Presents Education Support Grants To Students In Tertiary Institutions

The Former Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, through his foundation (Henry Seriake Dickson Foundation) presented Education Support Grants to various categories of students in tertiary institutions in the State.

The former governor and senator as a leader with quality educational background, stated the great need to support undergraduate and postgraduate students in tertiary institutions which has been a continuous practice over the years through his foundation.

The education support grants were in different categories as follows:

Ph.D Students = N100,000.
Law Students = N100,000.
Master Students = N50,000.
Undergraduate Students = N40,000.

The education support grants were also awarded to students in secondary and primary schools in the federal lawmaker’s community, which is a continuation of the federal lawmaker’s investment in education and human capacity development as contributing factors to nation-building.

Senator Dickson while calling on the beneficiaries to be focused with their studies and aiming high distinctions, stated that the grant is not enough to solve all financial problems, but to encourage students in tertiary institutions that their education is important to him and the society.

The federal lawmaker appreciated the organizing team and dignitaries that were in attendance for the presentation of the education support grants to various categories of beneficiaries through the federal lawmaker’s foundation (Henry Seriake Dickson Foundation).

Senator Dickson while thanking the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for attending the programme in representation of the Governor, Senator Douye Diri, called for more education support grants and scholarships for consistent investment in the educational sector.
