LG Elections: Sagbama PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Mrs Alice Tangi Receives Party Flag

The Chairmanship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. (Mrs) Alice Allen Tangi, has received the Party’s Flag to contest the forthcoming council elections on the 6th of April, 2024 respectively.

The chairmanship candidates of the PDP in the eight local government areas of the state, received the party’s flag as a symbol of authority of the party from the state party Chairman and Secretary, Hon. Solomon Aguanana and Hon. Gesiye Isowo at the state party secretariat.

The occasion of the presentation of party flags to the party chairmanship candidates, was attended by leaders and stakeholders of the party from various wards and communities across the state, as a party of peace and unity working towards victory.

In his remarks, State PDP Chairman, Hon. Solomon Aguanana stated the great importance for the party to handover party flags to the candidates, after resolving internal issues resulted from the conduct of the party primaries, as one united party working towards total victory.

The state party chairman who is overwhelmingly impressed with the performance of the miracle and people’s Governor, Senator Douye Diri, commended the governor for his result-oriented leadership and governance of the state in the past few years.

The state party chairman in company of the state party secretary while presenting party flags to the candidates, reiterated the importance of the party flags which symbolizes victory of the party candidates in the forthcoming local government council elections in the state.

Hon. Aguanana used the medium to appeal to all chairmanship and councilorship aspirants of the party across the state to let go of whatever misunderstanding that may have arised in the process of the party primaries that produced the party candidates for the elections.

In their separate remarks, PDP various local government caucus chairmen, assured the party leadership and the prosperity government of the people’s full support to ensure the victory of the party candidates in the council elections across the state.

The Sagbama PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. (Mrs) Alice Allen Tangi while addressing newsmen at the state party secretariat, appreciated the party leadership for the great opportunity to render selfless services to the people and the party in such capacity.

Mrs Alice Tangi while expressing optimism of total victory in the local government council elections, vowed to prioritize education, agriculture, including skill acquisition programmes towards improving the living standard of the people in the LGA when elected into office.

She promised the people’s Governor, Senator Douye Diri, his supportive Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and other stakeholders including the electorates not to disappoint the mandate bestowed on her, as the only female chairmanship candidate of the party at the ballot.
