Nov. 11 Polls: Bagou Condemn MacIver’s Violent Speech At Twon, Calls For His Immediate Arrest

Public commentator and social media influencer, Comrade Preye Bagou, has condemned in strong terms of the violent speech of the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Great Joshua MacIver, during party campaigns.

The Deputy Governorship Candidate, Great MacIver while addressing party members, supporters at Twon-Brass in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, stated categorically that anyone found misbehaving on the day of the election should be dragged to the sea to be drowned.

MacIver is not only instigating violence on the day of the gubernatorial election, but stating the perfected plans to kill anyone that stands against the ill-conceived governorship ambition of Chief Timipre Sylva and himself in Twon-Brass and other communities, wards across the state.

“It is necessary and pertinent to note that Great Joshua MacIver’s violent speech does not only threatens the peace and unity of the law-abiding people of Twon-Brass, but has further proved that people will be killed at will to achieve his political ambition, without value for the lives of the people.

Bagou described MacIver as an ex-convict who is a great threat to humanity and society, stressing that he should be re-arrested to serve his sentence for publicly reaffirming the jailbreak he committed, after convicted and sentenced for terrorism by a competent court of jurisdiction.

Recall that Great Joshua MacIver while answering questions of the jailbreak in a video that went viral, stated categorically of how he committed jailbreak, and boldly said that he will commit more jailbreaks if he is arrested for any criminal activities, daring security agencies.

“If the likes of Great Joshua MacIver pose a great threat to humanity and society, if continuously allowed to walk freely on the streets, as someone who has a track record of terrorism, militancy and other criminal activities, and further considering the lawlessness having no value for human lives.

“Great MacIver’s violent speech at Twon-Brass is a revelation of the intended violence to be unleashed on opposition party members or whoever that will be against the ill-conceived governorship ambition on the day of the election in various polling units, communities, wards across the state.

Well-meaning Bayelsans have being enjoying total peace in the state in the past few years, under the focused, peaceful leadership of the Miracle Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, since assumption in office in February 14, 2020.

“It is important to note that Bayelsa has gone beyond the era of violence, terrorism, militancy and other life-threatening criminal activities perpetrated by some miscreants in the name of fighting for the needs of the people, with the primary purpose of self-enrichment, wealth creation where lives were lost in the process.

Bagou call on President Bola Tinubu and security agencies to arrest Great Joshua MacIver with immediate effect for planning to kill anyone that will be against the ill-conceived governorship ambition, stressing that the safety of voters to exercise their franchise is threatened in the November 11th gubernatorial election.

“Bayelsans are peace-loving people, and are prepared for peaceful polls in the gubernatorial election, and anyone threatening the peace of the state, by planning to unleash violence on the voters on the day of the election will be resisted” Bagou added.
