Reminiscing Transformative Empowerment Initiatives Of Michael Olomu Foundation
Public Affairs Analyst and Journalist, Mr Preye Bagou, has commended a prominent politician and humanitarian, Dr. Michael Bless Olomu for several transformative human empowerment initiatives towards poverty alleviation of the people of Sagbama-Ekeremor through Michael Olomu Foundation.
These transformative human capital development initiatives are strategic large-scale investments in education, health, security, and requisite skills for sustainable economic growth driven by poverty alleviation in society by the Michael Bless Olomu Foundation.
Bagou in a statement made known to newsmen in Yenagoa, described Dr. Olomu as a transformative politician and humanitarian whose sustainable economic growth and development initiatives widely spread across almost all the communities in Bayelsa West.
According to Bagou statement, Olomu poverty alleviation initiatives driven by capacity-building, self-reliance and poverty alleviation, has received wide public commendation of Bayelsans, Niger Deltans and Nigerians overtime.
The foundation as strategic steps to alleviate poverty amongst the people of Sagbama and Ekeremor, distributed hundreds of mini buses, tricycles, motorcycles, cassava processing machines, sewing machines, including other equipments for self-employment.
The humanitarian and young politician has carried out several free medical outreach, including starter-packs to small and medium-scale businesses as strategic contributions to boost, and encourage young entrepreneurs.
These strategic transformative human capacity development initiatives widely commended by the public, represents boost in productivity, capacity-building, poverty alleviation–as society is faced with several economic hardship due to unemployment, economic instability.
Dr. Olomu through the Michael Olomu Foundation, has made tremendous socio-economic impacts driven by capacity-building, self-reliance, poverty alleviation which has received wide public commendation of Bayelsans, Niger Deltans and Nigerians overtime.
Infrastructure development as a major sector that boost economic growth and sustainability, Olomu has initiated and executed several road projects, including solar light projects cutting across Sagbama and Ekeremor LGAs.
Due to his immense passion for quality education, he has renovated several public primary and secondary schools to improve the standard of learning–as steps towards building a conducive environment for teachers/students.
In same vein, few weeks ago, the MBO Foundation distributed generators, and cash gifts to one thousand small-scale entrepreneurs from Sagbama and Ekeremor to boost their businesses. Also, over two thousand jamb forms were distributed to jamb applicants.
