The List Of Former Governors That Met With President Tinubu In State House

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday played host to some former Governors who visited him at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.

Hot News Reporters gathered that the governors who visited President Tinubu in state house are the class of 1999 governors.

Recall that the President Tinubu is also a member of the set of 1999 governors, which was the first set of elected governors with the commencement of democratic system of government in 1999 in Nigeria.

The ex-governors were at the state house to identify with the president, who was the governor of Lagos State from May 1999 to 2007, and to express solidarity over his policies since his assumption in office as Nigeria’s President on May 29, 2023.

The class of 1999 governors who were present at the meeting includes: former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, former Ekiti State Governor, Niyi Adebayo, former Edo State Governor, Lucky Igbinedion, former Abia State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu and former Ebonyi State Governor, Sam Egwu.

Others are: former Enugu State Governor, Chimaroke Nnamani, former Jigawa State Governor, Ibrahim Turaki, former Bauchi State Governor, Adamu Muazu, former Akwa-Ibom State Governor, Obong Victor Attah, former Ogun State Governor, Olusegun Osoba, former Osun State Governor, Bisi Akande, former Zamfara State between, Ahmad Yerima, former Taraba State Governor, Jolly Nyame, former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa and former Plateau State Governor, Joshua Dariye.
