2023: Tension In Bayelsa PDP, As Diri, Alaibe, Cleopas, Others To Battle For The Party’s Gubernatorial Ticket

There seems to be uproar among members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Bayelsa State, as the party release timetable for the commencement of the sale of governorship forms between the 15th and 16th of January, 2023.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), released the time-table for the conduct of the Bayelsa Governorship election, which is slated to hold on the 11th of November, 2023.

According to the INEC timetable, party primaries will commence on the 27th of March to 17th of April, 2023, while the online portal for the submission of nomination forms (EC9 and EC9B) by political parties will commence on the 24th of April, 2023, and closes on the 5th of May, 2023. While campaign by political parties will commence on the 14th of June, 2023, and ends on the 9th of November, 2023.
