Niger Delta Group Pass Vote Of Confidence On Ndiomu, Call On Tinubu For His Reappointment

The Niger Delta Youths Advocates has passed a vote of confidence on the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Maj-General Barry Ndiomu (Retd) over performance in correcting abnormalities and restructuring the programme.

Recall that Maj-General Barry Ndiomu (Retd) was appointed as an Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) by former President Muhammadu Buhari on the 21st of September, 2022, after Col. Milland Dikkio’s sack.

The group commended the amnesty boss for outstanding performance in restructuring the presidential amnesty programme to its primary objectives of establishment, stressing that so many irregularities and abnormalities has been corrected under his administration.

“Ndiomu’s appointment as an interim administrator of the presidential amnesty programme has reshaped and restructured the interventionist agency that was established to integrate and train ex-agitators in the Niger Delta,” the group said.

The group spokesperson, Comrade Oyinkuro Patrick reiterated the group’s continuous support of Ndiomu’s administration in building and growing the interventionist programme towards bettering the lives of the beneficiaries and the people of the region at large.

“Ndiomu with his outstanding wealth of knowledge, ideas, experience and understanding of the programme has made tremendous performance in the past months in reviving the presidential amnesty programme from collapse and termination,” he added.

The group appealed to stakeholders and leaders of the Niger Delta region to continue to support and work closely with the interim administrator to ensure that the objectives of the establishment of the programme are optimally achieved.

The group further called on President Bola Tinubu to reappoint Maj-General Barry Ndiomu (Retd) as interim administrator of the presidential amnesty programme in order to achieve the desired result of the programme.
