Dickson Led High-Powered Delegation To Congratulate Diri, Law At Country Homes In Sampou, Ofoni Communities

The Immediate Past Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, led a high-powered delegation to congratulate the Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, for their victory in the governorship election.

The high-powered delegation comprised of elders, leaders, stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa West Senatorial district ably led by the former Governor and serving Federal Lawmaker, congratulated the Governor and his Deputy for their re-election for second term in office.

Senator Dickson made this known through his official facebook handle, visited the Governor at his country home in Sampou Community under Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area, where he delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of the people of Bayelsa West Senatorial district, the Governor’s maternal senatorial district.

The Federal Lawmaker popularly known as the Ofuruma-Pepe (Great White Shark), reiterated the senatorial district continuous support and prayers, stressing that the senatorial district delivered almost half of the votes that secured the governor’s second term in office, just like in 2019 governorship election.

“We are happy that the state has entrusted them with a fresh tenure of four years, and we believe they will use that tenure to consolidate on the gains made in the first one and continue to build development, stability and to spread prosperity to our people” Dickson added.

The delegation further visited the Deputy Governor at his country home in Ofoni Communities under Sagbama Local Government Area, delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of the people of the senatorial district.

Senator Dickson while delivering the congratulatory message, thanked the Deputy Governor for being a good servant of the state and a loyal and supportive Deputy to his boss the Governor, urged him to continue to give more dedicated and loyal service to his boss and the state at large.

The statement reads: “Today, I led some elders of the senatorial district to congratulate the Governor His Excellency Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy His Excellency, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

“First, we visited the Governor at his country home in Sampou where we delivered the congratulatory message on behalf of the people of Bayelsa west, his maternal senatorial district.

“We assured him of the abiding support and prayers of the senatorial district and reminded him that, just as we did in 2019, the senatorial district has delivered almost half of the votes that secured the second term for him.

“We wish him well and his deputy who is also from the senatorial district.

“We are happy that the state has entrusted them with a fresh tenure of four years and we believe they will use that tenure to consolidate on the gains made in the first one and continue to build development, stability and to spread prosperity to our people.

“From there we visited the deputy governor in his residence and delivered congratulatory message on behalf of the senatorial district also to him.

“We thank God that both of them emerged and we thanked the deputy governor for being a good servant of the state and a loyal and supportive deputy to his boss.

“We pray that in the next four years, he will continue to give more dedicated and loyal service to his boss and the state.

“We assure him that in doing so, the Senatorial District will stand with him and his boss for the next four years and we wish them well.
