Senator Dickson’s Unwavering Commitment In Unifying The Ijaw Nation And The Niger Delta – Chief Alfred Arerebo

The Former Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has always being a believer and builder of the unification and development of the Ijaw nation without segregation or marginalization over the years.

Senator Dickson’s unwavering and unrelenting commitment towards building the unification of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta, visited the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Siminalayi Fubara, to solidarize with the people of Rivers State and the State Government.

Senator Dickson’s led high-powered delegation of traditional leaders, political leaders, stakeholders and elders on the courtesy call to the Rivers State Government, has further rebuild and reawaken the bond of unity and collaboration between the two brother States respectively.

Considering the political tension in recent times in Rivers State, there was a great need for traditional leaders, political leaders and stakeholders to show solidarity to a brother state in time of trial, letting the world know of the Ijaw brotherhood that bonds the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta together.

In his remarks, the former governor and federal lawmaker, urged the Rivers State Governor to make peace with his predecessor, as both holds sensitive public offices that will contribute to the growth, stability and development of the State basically.

Senator Dickson stated categorically that the peace, unity, stability and development of Rivers State, has a direct impact on Bayelsa State, as two brother States that are conjoined culturally, economically and politically and otherwise basically.

He added the high-powered delegation and other well-meaning Bayelsans are basically more interested in finding lasting solutions and resolutions for the peace and stability of Rivers State and the Government, and not the problems.

The high-powered delegation led by Senator Dickson has bestowed renewed hope to the people of Rivers State and the State Government of peace, unity and collaboration between the two brother States (Bayelsa and Rivers) respectively.

Senator Dickson has being a great vocal voice of the Ijaw nation in the national assembly, relentlessly making laudable efforts for the unification and collaboration among the Ijaws, and the development of the Ijaw nation without segregation or marginalization over the years.

The National Lawyer’s unrelenting and unwavering commitment and support for the peace, unification of the Ijaw nation, cannot be understated and overemphasized which is highly commendable.

Senator Dickson is undoubtedly and unarguably making the Ijaw nation proud, by always preaching and building the bond of unity and peace among leaders in brother States.

He has being a proponent of the unification and development of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta from his days of full participation of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) over few decades ago. He is still a vocal voice of the Ijaw nation in the national assembly (Senate).

Senator Dickson as Governor of Bayelsa State, created the Ministry of Ijaw Affairs, built Ijaws Memorial Park, Ijaw National Academy with the sole purpose of promoting and uniting the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta without segregation or marginalization, as a proponent of the Ijaw struggle.

As Governor, Senator Dickson gave political appointments to Ijaws who were not resident in Bayelsa across the Niger Delta and beyond, with the primary purpose of building the bond of peace, unity, togetherness and development of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta respectively.

As a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Dickson has being a vocal voice of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta, building bridges with/among traditional leaders, political leaders, opinion leaders, stakeholders and elders towards the unification and development of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta.

I urge other Ijaw political leaders and opinion leaders across the Niger Delta and beyond to emulate theh tremendous contributions of the former Governor and Senator with open wholeheartedness in building the Ijaw course for the unification and development of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta.

The Ijaw nation commends our vocal and gallant leader, Senator Dickson for always speaking and building bridges for the unification and development of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta without segregation or marginalization over the years.

The Ijaw nation is indeed proud to have you our national figure and voice of the Ijaw nation for relentless tremendous contributions and strives for the unification, collaboration and development of the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta respectively.
