Senator Dickson Commission’s 15.24km Emohua-Kalabari Road, Commends Gov. Fubara
The Former Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has commended the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Siminalayi Fubara for his developmental projects for the short time in office.
The Former Governor and Senator made this known through his official facebook handle, thanked the Governor for delivering several life-changing projects to improve the welfare of the people of the State, since assumption in office in one year.
Senator Dickson made the commendation when he was invited as a special guest of honor by the Rivers State Governor to commission the reconstructed Emohua-Kalabari road project in Rivers State.
While thanking Governor Fubara, the government and the people for their warm reception and hospitality, Senator Dickson called for peace, reconciliation and unity to enable the governor to be focused in delivering life-changing projects in the State.
Senator Dickson commended the former Governor and current FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike in whose administration the contract was awarded, and contractor mobilized to commence the road project before the current administration basically.
“I thank Governor Fubara and the Government for having the focus despite obvious challenges and distractions to embark on the road project, and see to its completion. It’s a high quality road that is dualized with street lights” he added.
While commending the contracting company, Julius Berger PLC for the high quality road and delivery on time, Senator Dickson stated that he is so much familiar with the road because, he use to pass through the road to Kalabari communities, and knows the state of the road then.
Dickson called for the support of all traditional leaders, political leaders, opinion leaders, stakeholders, women and youth leaders to advice, encourage and support the governor to succeed, adding that the governor is the head of the government, and he is leading the duly constituted government of the State expectedly.
“I am aware that there are challenges. We call for peace, and for all parties concerned to show moderation, tolerance and leave room for reconciliation for the peace, stability and development of the State” he added.
Senator Dickson congratulated Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his successful one year in office, adding that he knows that with the way the governor has started, many more great things are coming in Rivers State.
The statement reads: “Yesterday, I had the honor of being invited to commission the Emohua – Kalabari (Tema Junction) Road Project in Rivers State.
“I thanked the Governor, the government and the people for their warmth and hospitality. I called for peace, reconciliation and unity to enable the governor perform and deliver more life changing projects like this. I commended the former governor in whose administration the contract was awarded and contractor mobilized.
“I also thanked the current administration and the governor for having the focus inspite of obvious challenges to embark on and finish the project. It is a high quality Road that is dualized with street lights.
“As I said I am familiar with this road because I use to take it to Kalabari communities.This road was constructed by the world class contractor Julius Berger PLC and it was delivered on time. I thank the governor for this and several other life changing projects that he is doing in just one year.
“I call for support by all stakeholders, women and youth leaders to support the governor to succeed. The governor is the head of the government and he is leading the duly constituted government of Rivers state and all of us have a duty to encourage, support and advice him.
“I am aware that there are challenges. We call for peace and for all parties concerned to show moderation and tolerance and leave room for reconciliation.
“Congratulations to the Governor for his successful one year in office and we know that with the way he has started, many more great things are coming in Rivers State.
