Senator Dickson Receives Secondary School Teachers

Former Governor of Bayelsa State and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, received in courtesy visit of his teachers in secondary school (Government Secondary School, Toru-Ebeni) between 1978-1983 at his country home in Toru-Orua.

The senator made this known through his official facebook handle, described the visit of his secondary school teachers as a usual practice during festive seasons for several years that creates the opportunity for them to have some lively moments together reliving old times.

The teachers yearly festive season visit to the former governor at his country home in Toru-Orua, was led by the then Vice Principal, His Highness, B.Z Odoki of the Government Secondary School, Toru-Ebeni between (1978-1983).

Senator Dickson who received prayers and goodwill messages from his secondary school teachers, extended Christmas greetings to them and their families.

He encouraged them to always keep in touch as to support and honour them, as teachers who toiled to make great mentors and leaders in different fields and specialisations with tremendous achievements.

The statement read in parts: “Today, I received a lot of people beginning with my teachers in my secondary school (Government Secondary School, Toru-Ebeni)1978-1983 led by the then Vice Principal, His Highness B.Z Odoki on a Christmas Visit to me at my country home as they have been doing for several years during festive seasons and whenever there are issues to bring to my attention.

“I received them and we spent some lively moments together reliving old times. They prayed for me and I extended Christmas greetings to them and their families.

“In my remarks, I also encouraged everyone to keep in touch, support and honour the teachers who toiled to make us who we are and who take pride as they should in our achievements. I wished them the best of luck.
