The Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, hosted Ijaw Musicians his foundation is offering support at his country home in Toru-Orua, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The former governor and senator made this known through his official facebook handle, described the musicians as ambassadors of the Ijaw traditions and cultural heritage.

“They are following the footsteps of Late Rex Lawson, Late Echo Toikumor, Late King Robert Ebizimor, and several other Ijaw music ambassadors,” he added.

Senator Dickson while reiterating his support for the Ijaw musicians, promised to provide yuletide packages to them, and others through his foundation as a way of sharing love and care for one another to celebrate the birth of Christ.

He commended them for their selfless services in promoting the culture and tradition of the Ijaw nation, adding that they shouldn’t be deterred by any circumstance in promoting the Ijaw nation, as he did as then Governor of Bayelsa State, and still doing as a Senator.

The statement read in parts: “Today, I hosted some of our cultural ambassadors (Ijaw Musicians) that my foundation is offering support to.

“They are following the footsteps of the Late Rex Lawson, Echo Toikumor and Late Chief Robert Ebizimor and several others.

“I told them that my foundation will
reach out to them and others very soon this year.
