FCT SDP Chairman, Other Officers Joins NDC, Dickson Welcomes Decampees
By Preye Bagou, Yenagoa
The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Seriake Dickson, as part of ongoing wave of decampments into the party, received the State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Nuradeen Bisalla, and the entire party structure in Federal Capital Territory.
The national leader, who made this known through his official facebook handle, thanked the decampees, particularly Alhaji Bisalla for their confidence in NDC, and also making generous donations of party offices and vehicles to commence operations.
Senator Dickson thanking the FCT SDP Chairman, Alhaji Bisalla, including local government and ward officers for collapsing their entire party structure into NDC, appointed Alhaji Bisalla to serve as FCT Deputy Chairman of the NDC–as a politician of competence.
He called on all Nigerians who are desirous of a new Nigeria, particularly those in political parties facing internal challenges, to quickly embrace the NDC–either by contesting elections on its platform, or by joining to strengthen the support structure in various States.
Hotnews quote Dickson statement and it read in parts: “Today, as part of the ongoing wave of decampments into the NDC by politicians across the country, I received the State Chairman of the SDP, Alhaji Nuradeen Bisalla, alongside the entire SDP structure in the FCT—comprising Local Government and Ward Chairmen—who have now fully collapsed into the NDC.
They also made generous donations of offices and vehicles, and I sincerely thanked them for their confidence in the party. I particularly thanked Alhaji Bisalla, who now serves as the FCT Deputy Chairman of the NDC, for his commitment and vibrant mobilisation efforts.
I used the opportunity to thank Nigerians for their continued support and belief in the NDC. I assured all stakeholders that everyone will be carried along, as we are building a team of leaders, and that all incoming groups will be properly harmonised to ensure unity and effectiveness.
These donations are especially significant, as this new party, like any new political movement, is sustained by the collective contributions of its members, not by moneybags. I pray that God replenishes all those who have given in support of the party’s growth and success.
I also call on all politicians who are desirous of a new Nigeria, particularly those in parties facing internal challenges, to quickly embrace the NDC—either by contesting elections on its platform or by joining to strengthen and build it in their states, local governments, and wards.
Together, we will confront the APC in all elections and put a stop to any attempt to impose a one-party state on our nation.
Say no to one-party state or any form of state capture anywhere in Nigeria!
