Bayelsa State NDC Chairman, Ikuromo Receives Members Of Statewide Support Group

The State Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Dauprebo Ikuromo, today, received in courtesy visit of executives and members of the Progressive Youths Movement led by its President, Comrade Tarilayefa Newton.

The party chairman accompanied by the publicity secretary, Hon. Prince Mac-Ake, received the executives and members of the progressive youths movement on Thursday 9, April, 2026, at the party secretariat.

During the courtesy visit, the group formally presented its executive membership list–as a prestigious youth group, which cuts across various local government areas of the state, reiterated support for NDC.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the president, Comr. Tarilayefa Newton, stated that the progressive youths movement is firmly rooted in the ideological vision of the mother body, the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

He reaffirmed the group’s readiness, commitment to work in tandem with the party’s vision and objectives, and requested formal inauguration, and sought approval for the use of the party secretariat for their meetings, and other political engagements.

In his response, the chairman, Hon. Dauprebo Ikuromo, commended the group and its leadership for their organization, preparedness, and demonstrated commitment to the growth and progress of the party.

He assured the group that he would consult with the state executive committee to properly integrate and streamline their activities within the party structure for the overall benefit of the party–as an ideological fresh platform for mostly the youths.
