Bayelsa Govt Invites Teachers Of Cancelled Recruitment Exercise

The Bayelsa State Government has invited all teachers employed by the Post-Primary Schools Board in the last recruitment exercise before the cancellation of the process due to several complaints of irregularities in the teachers recruitment process.

Hot News gathered amongst the invited teachers, some teachers lectured in their respective primary place of assignment for six months after being employed by the state government through a recruitment committee under post-primary schools board in 2024, specifically.

The state government after rigorous investigations of the transparency of the recruitment process, cancelled the recruitment process for a fresh recruitment exercise of the teachers employment to ensure transparency and credibility as a government.

As a people-oriented government, the state government has invited all teachers employed in the previous recruitment process to appear before a committee on the following days and dates for verification exercise.

Schedule for the verification exercise according to subject teachers.

1. Thursday 17th April, 2025 – English Language

2. Friday 18th April, 2025-Mathematics

3. Tuesday 22nd April, 2025- Biology

4. Thursday 24th April, 2025-Physics/ Basic Technology

5. Friday 25th April, 2025-Chemistry/ Basic Science

6. Monday 28th April, 2025-Geography/ Bus. Studies

7. Tuesday 29th April, 2025 – Agriculture/Physical Health

8. Thursday 1st May, 2025- History/Christian Religious Knowledge

9. Friday 2nd May, 2025- Home Economics/ Fine Arts

Venue: Dappa Biriye Hall – Golden Tulip, Onopa

Time: 10am daily

Please come along with the original appointment letter, signed assumption of duty certificate and Local Government Area Identification Letter.

The invitation is strictly for those that have assumed duties at their school of posting before the cancellation of the exercise.
