Joshua MacIver Resignation From APC, Details Emerges
The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 Bayelsa gubernatorial election, Great Joshua MacIver, has officially tendered resignation of his membership from the ruling party.
Hotnews gathered that Great Maclver had earlier, expressed total displeasure over marginalization within the APC in Bayelsa State, while reiterating total support for President Bola Tinubu re-election in the presidential election.
MacIver in a resignation letter dated March, 27, 2026, addressed to his APC Ward Chairman, (Olodiama 2, Ward 4) in Southerner-Ijaw Local Government Area, said his decision to withdraw his membership from the party was on personal reasons and conviction.
Hotnews quote Great Maclver’s letter of resignation and withdrawal of membership from the APC reads:
“I, Mr Joshua MacIver, a card carrying member and immediate past Deputy Governorship Candidate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 Governorship Election in Bayelsa State, hereby resign and withdraw my membership from the party.
“The reason for my resignation and withdrawal of membership from the APC is strictly personal.
“Finally, I am grateful to the party for giving me the platform to be a very active member throughout the period of my membership of the party.
