Dickson Building Bridges For Ijaws Unification, Visits King Agadagba, Tompolo In Oporoza
Former Governor of Bayelsa State and Senator representing Bayelsa West, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, paid solidarity visit to the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, HRM, King Aketekpe Agadagba at his palace in Oporoza town, Delta State.
The Senator was accompanied by traditional leaders, political leaders, stakeholders, elders, women and youths from Bayelsa West, and the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, Chief Government Ekpemupolo Tompolo (GOC).
In his remarks, Senator Dickson stated that the solidarity visit was to familiarize with the leadership of the kingdom to create stronger working relationship as Ijaws, for the unification, stability and development of the Ijaw nation.
He stressed the important need for the Ijaws in various leadership positions at the national and state levels to speak in one voice, working collaboratively towards the unification, growth and development of the Niger Delta and Ijaw nation.
The Ofuruma-Pepe pointed out some of his remarkable and commendable relentless efforts in identifying and working collaboratively with Ijaws in various states across the Niger Delta region and Ijaw nation as Governor of Bayelsa State respectively.
Senator Dickson stated that as a promoter and builder of the Ijaw nation, he gave many political appointments to Ijaws even in other States outside Bayelsa as Governor, with the primary objective of building and strengthening the unity of the Ijaws.
He used the medium to appreciate the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, Chief Government Ekpemupolo Tompolo (GOC), for his commendable services and contributions in uniting and building the Ijaw nation, urged him not to relent for his services to the people.
Senator Dickson called on all Ijaws at various levels to use their good offices to promote attract development to the Niger Delta, as a region blessed with so many natural and human resources, but lacking infrastructural development.
King Aketekpe Agadagba in his remarks, thanked Senator Dickson and his entourage for the solidarity visit, which he described as a great step in the right direction towards the unification and stability of the Niger Delta and Ijaw nation.
He commended the national lawmaker for his enormous relentless services and contributions towards the unification, stability and development of the region, and prayed for him to continue his good works in the national assembly.
