Dickson Chairs Senate, House Of Reps Committee In Capacity Building Workshop
Former Governor of Bayelsa State and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, His Excellency Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, chaired the joint national assembly committee on ecology and climate change in capacity building workshop for members basically.
The Former Governor and Senator made this known through his official facebook handle, described the capacity building workshop as an interesting lecture which was centered on the effects of climate change, and the possible solutions.
Dickson while calling for more capacity building workshop, commended the Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office of the British High Commission (FCDO) for facilitating the impactful lecture.
Dickson thanked all the experts who gave a lecture to enlighten members of the joint national assembly committee on ecology and climate change, and other top government functionaries who participated in the capacity building workshop.
He said: “Today I chaired a capacity building workshop for the members of the joint Committee of the Senate and the House on Ecology and Climate Change, facilitated by the Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) and the Foreign & Commonwealth Development Office of the British High Commission (FCDO).
“We had interesting lectures on the effect of climate change and I look forward to more workshops like this.
“I thank all the experts who came to enlighten us, the member of the joint Senate and House committee and other government functionaries who participated in today’s workshop.
