Diri Receives Award Of Honour, Dedicate Award To Bayelsans

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has received an award of honour from the West African Postgraduate College of Nurses and Midwives (WAPCNM) at the Executive Council Chamber in Government House, Yenagoa.

The award of honour was presented to Governor Douye Diri at the 144th State Executive Council meeting by the Commissioner For Health, Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe who received the award on behalf of the Governor.

In his remarks, the Governor, Senator Douye Diri thanked the West African Postgraduate College of Nurses and Midwives for the award of honour, noting that the award is a motivation for the prosperity government to do more in the health sector in the state.

“Again, I dedicate this award to all of us, members of the state executive council, and the people of Bayelsa State in general, including the very hardworking administrators in the college of nursing in the Niger Delta University,” he added.

The award of honour to the governor is a recognition of the prosperity government’s commitment and contributions to the development of the nursing profession and the health sector in the state and beyond.
